Trader's Diary: A Glimpse into the Daily Routine of a Trader in Bali 🌴
Welcome to another edition of Daily Pips Trading, where I spill the beans about myself, all things trading and beyond.
Hey friends,
Month two of traveling, Bali now, and I'm officially off Google Maps! The breakfast spot is down the street, the guys at the gym still know my name (it’s been a year), and the office space is full of people to talk with. Feeling settled in already after last year’s trip here!
I gotta say, big thanks to Goda for scoring an amazing place to live - feeling grateful for this setup! Mornings are all about us: workouts, breakfasts together, and a bit of zen time. Then it goes into hunting new partnerships at work and trading late at night. That extra hour in time difference is starting to hit my body, but we’ll push through 🙂

Curious minds want to know: Are you finding these behind-the-scenes peeks interesting? 🤔 Your feedback means the world to me and helps me tailor content that's even more valuable to you later on! Don't be shy—let me know your thoughts! 🌟
Now, as promised, let's dish on all things trading, some cool resources, and everything else under the sun.
I went nuts when Žalgiris won their last game. You could hear the yelling across the island... But, my video editor, called me out on that. “Ignas, you sent me those winners and recordings, but there is nothing I can do with it because there is zero action, can you give me some?”.
Apparently, I could be a little more enthusiastic about trading. It made me stop and think. Livestreaming gets a lot of energy flowing from me, I can go through periods of being serious or having a laugh with you guys with ease, but when it comes to executing; I tend to make trading as boring as it can be, maybe that’s the reason why I can go through periods of winners and losers and stick to the strategy I trust. I’m not sure, but anyone else struggles to get hyped when it’s money on the line?
Mentioning emotions… Let's talk about prop firms for a second. These are companies that give traders a chance to trade with a larger chunk of capital – the firm's capital, not yours. You pass their challenges, and then you get to trade! Sounds like a win-win, right? Well, maybe not always.
One prop firm, The Funded Trader, just hit some rough waters and is pausing operations. Their payout system wasn't set up to handle successful traders – not a great sign for trust, right? https://bitly.ws/3h8G2 This is a good reminder that even if you're a great trader in a prop firm situation, the firm itself needs to be a good partner. My issue here is that the company was established by traders and influencers, with zero people with actual business experience, unfortunately.
On the other hand, we have a big player, IC Markets, entering the prop trading game. This is interesting because their established reputation could offer more stability. It'll be fascinating to see how they structure their program and how it plays out. https://bitly.ws/3h8FC
My Key Takeaway: The prop firm landscape is constantly shifting. This news is a call to be cautious and smart about choosing a firm. Always do your research, understand their payout structure, and remember – you are your own best asset. Building your independent trading account & balance is key to long-term success.
Okay, now for the fun stuff I dug into last week...
➡️ Facing Regrets Head-On:
Been thinking a lot after listening to a podcast with Noah Kagan (of AppSumo). It's about tackling those "what if" regrets you get by NOT taking action now. This hit home for me since I'm in the middle of doing just that – no more waiting! His main point: you don't want to look back and wish you'd gone for it. If this resonates with you, check it out:
➡️ JT Blast from the Past:
Found myself digging Justin Timberlake's NPR Tiny Desk concert. Man, his voice is still killer. Took me right back to my "Mirrors" days – I obsessed with that song when I lived in Panevezys. Anyone else? I know I’ve sent it to a few of you! If you haven't listened to him in a while, this is a great reminder of his talent:
